Airport food, mmmm, yeah maybe not. Actually, it depends on the airport, I love the curry from the Admirals Club here in Honolulu but other than that the Honolulu Airport has very poor options. That may be changing.

The Mauka Terminal at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu has, at last, introduced a dining option, the Mauka Market, bringing a culinary delight to travelers using the terminal. This new development comes two years after the terminal’s inauguration, during which time it lacked a restaurant facility.

Imagine eating a good meal in the Mauka Concourse and then flying on one of the new Hawaiian Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliners in first class. A good meal is always a good start.

The Mauka Market is a locally inspired 92-seat restaurant, celebrating the vibrant culture and distinct cuisine of Hawaii. In addition to the restaurant, an adjoining self-checkout convenience store has been established, which remains open 24/7. own schedule.

One of the highlights of the Mauka Market is its full-service bar. It features a wide variety of premium beverages, including cocktails made from Ocean Organic Vodka and Koloa Rum, as well as local craft beer supplied by Aloha Beer Co. and Kona Brewing.

This recent addition to the Mauka Concourse, the newest section of the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport situated at Terminal 1, brings a much-needed dining experience for both local and international travelers.
