I see about 2-3 posts per week from people asking how to find luggage storage in Hawaii. The common question is  “Where can I store my luggage before my flight home” or “Before hotel check-in?”

With checkout from hotels at 11 am and flights leaving late at night, and early morning flights with 3 or 4 pm check-in it is a popular question, and the answer, unfortunately, changes from time to time.

The “store it with the front desk” is not always an option, especially when staying at a limited service location.

Fortunately, there is an app for that, I know, stay with me, called Bounce.

There are also a host of apps (42 as of right now) that can enhance your trip to Hawaii from planning to exploring, take a look at the list when you have some time.

Bounce provides luggage storage in Hawaii and in hundreds of cities around the world. By partnering with local businesses, they allow you to book luggage storage in advance online and drop off any size of bag for as long as you like.

You no longer have to worry about late check-in or early checkout times from your hotel leaving you stranded with your bags. Just drop off your things where they’ll be stored securely until you’re ready to pick them up.

Luggage storage in Honolulu

Honolulu has 18 different Bounce partners where you can store your bags if you need a place to leave your things. Some, like hotels in Waikiki, are open 24 hours, making them incredibly convenient. Others operate regular business hours, closing around 5 or 6 PM, while some restaurants offer later hours, staying open until 8 PM or later.

Just open up the Bounce app and book your preferred location, then drop off your bags and enjoy the city.

Luggage storage in Maui

Bounce provides several luggage storage locations in Maui. Outside the major cities of Lahaina and Kahului, you’ll find two different Bounce partners to choose from.

There’s a barbershop on South Kihei Road, which is a great place to store your things if you’re on your way to explore the incredible Marine Park in Kihei. It’s only open on Wednesdays from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, but it’s a handy location if you’re in the area at that time. As always, it’s a good idea to check the opening hours of any Bounce location on the app before making your booking.

The other Maui location is a restaurant located in Maalaea. This restaurant offers more generous opening hours, as it is open every day from 10:30 AM to 8 PM.

Luggage storage in Kahului

Kahului is where you’ll find Maui’s International Airport and the all-important Costco store. That makes it a popular place to store bags, so you’ll be glad to know there are four Bounce partners in and around Kahului. The airport luggage storage is open 24 hours, which makes it a convenient place to drop off your bags and pick them up at any time, depending on when your flight is.

There’s another 24-hour luggage storage location in the Kahului Harbor, which is an excellent choice for those traveling by cruise ship. Another partner near the University of Hawaii is open every day of the week from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, except on Sundays when they stay open till 5 PM.

Luggage storage in Lahaina

Bounce has two luggage storage locations in Lahaina itself. The first is a UPS store which is open every day from 8 PM to 6 PM except on Sundays, when it’s closed. The other is a hotel, and so it offers more generous opening hours, from 8 AM to 10 PM every day of the week.

Hawaii luggage storage made easy

I have used the concierge at my hotel many many times to hold my luggage but I understand this is not always an option.

Wherever you’re going in Hawaii, there’s sure to be a location nearby that can look after your things for you.
