Service
Because I was able to notify the St. Regis Macao about an exact arrival time, they were expecting me. I was welcomed by the butler team at the hotel entrance with a welcome drink and immediately escorted to my suite.
The hassle free in-room check-in, beautifully arranged and customized welcome amenities, including fresh roses, a fruit basket and chocolates. I appreciated the staff making me feel extremely welcome within minutes of my arrival.
In the evening, the butler team arranged another special surprise for me. After returning to my suite, having just enjoyed happy hour at the St Regis Bar, I was surprised with a private in room champagne sabering ceremony and a complimentary bottle of Veuve Cliquot. Moments I will never forget.
Waking up the next morning, my butler was already waiting to prepare my in-room breakfast with fresh squeezed juices, fresh coffee, fresh berries, homemade pastries, a cold cut platter and omelet.
Suite
This was my third visit to the St Regis Macao and I can be lucky to say that I have always been upgraded to the marvelous Empire Suite on all 3 occasions. With only one of the 122 suites offering a balcony, this time was even more special.
The 210 sqm large Empire Suite offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Cotai strip, overlooking the magnificent Venetian and Parisian Resorts. Especially at night, while enjoying a glass of champagne, this magical and unforgettable experience, makes the St Regis Macau one of my all-time favorite hotels.
All appliances in the suite can be controlled and fine-tuned by touch screen smart controls including the TV, curtains, dimmable lights, and air conditioning.
Living Room
Entering the suite, you will be walking into the living room, which is arranged into three main areas. The lounge area is fitted with a comfortable I-shaped sofa and additional seating for 4 people, the dining area has a table for 4 and a mini-bar and there is a working area adjacent to the master bedroom.
Of course, a marble guest bathroom can’t be missing in a gorgeous suite like this. The balcony extends over the entire width of the living and dining area, offering cushioned outdoor furniture and seating for up to 10 people.
Bedroom
The oversized master bedroom is equipped with a comfortable king bed with luxurious Italian linens and has an adjacent walk in closet that leads into the marble master bathroom. A make-up mirror and desk next to the bathroom and additional seating next to window of the bedroom complete this gorgeous room.
A feature that I really like is the portable Bluetooth stereo on the bedside cabinet. Take it to the balcony at night and the atmosphere won’t get any better. This private area of the suite also has a separate entrance from the corridor.
Bathroom
The marble master bathroom, offers an extra deep bathtub, a separate walk-in shower and double vanities. All bathroom amenities are as expected from Remede and come in larger sizes than I was used to from other St. Regis hotels
Marriott Bonvoy’s Service and Benefits
Member benefits at the St. Regis Macao include upgrades to preferable rooms or suites, upon availability. For Platinum or higher elite members, in-room breakfast prepared by your butler and happy hour at the St Regis Bar every night, with light snacks and a wide selection of signature drinks, is offered.
Value
With a regular room usually priced at between 200-300$ per night, I would suggest you pay rather than redeeming your room for 60000 points.
Be sure to visit The Ritz Carlton Macau if the St. Regis Macao is full when you are in the area.
